Dear Rosa & Daniel,

Thank you so much for taking this major role in shooting us on our wedding day! It was truly a great experience. You and Daniel made us feel so happy, cheeful and relaxed, it was so much fun! Welcome Amber Sky & Happy 10th Anniversary!

It has been a while since we last updated the blog, mainly due to being a busy mother and father to our 7-week old daughter, Amber! She has just started to coo and smile and brings us many hours of fun and joy.

A number of life changing events have happened in the last few months. Daniel, my husband, decided to pursue his lifelong passion in photography and become a full-time photographer. It's really a dream come true for me. What was once Rosa Tseng Photography and ROSAKIDS, has now become Rosa & Daniel Photography. We are still happily photographing weddings and families and this year marks our 10th anniversary of business in Hong Kong. A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who has helped us arrive at this milestone!

Janice and Dai, whose wedding I photographed years ago in Shanghai, now have two lovely sons, Ocean and Tai. A year after the wedding, I've been documenting the growth of their charismatic and charming two boys. This time we headed to the park and Janice dressed them smartly in red tartan!

Happy New Year everyone! Sorry, its taken me awhile to update my blog. Been busy with studio renovations, preparing for an exciting year of shooting to come. I wanted to share some images I did on location with Garry, Phyllis, and their son Oscar. The shoot was a unique juxtaposition of 'old' hong kong, with their fresh-faced, young son Oscar.

Coin toss with tennis legends

Recently, my husband, Daniel and I made a donation to Make a Wish Foundation and the Roger Federer Foundation. As a result, we were given the honour of doing the coin toss at the Tennis Showdown at the Venetian Macau, which included Bjorn Borg, Roger Federer, James Blake and John McEnroe. Between the seven of us in the photo, we have 31 singles and 9 doubles grand slam titles!! Good luck Roger on attaining your 14th grand slam title soon!

A big thank you to everyone who came out and celebrated our Xmas in September promotion! In order to celebrate the launch of our Fall and Winter portrait sessions, our team opened the gallery for a couple nights and celebrated Xmas early with clients and friends. So now we're like Santa's elves, busy shooting in studio and on location, and making those holiday cards and portrait gifts for loved ones, just in time before Xmas!

Mark and Jenny celebrated their wedding in regal style at The Peninsula in August. It was a lovely wedding on the balcony of the Garden Suite and we spent the afternoon taking portraits around the hotel grounds. Congratulations to you both and the arrival of your new daughter as well! Its double happiness for you both!

I had a lovely shoot with little Lucas recently. It was right before his first birthday and mom Sherry and dad Patrick invited me to their home to do the shoot. What a happy spirited boy! He seemed to enjoy my little tricks and couldn't stop cracking up!

Our staff celebrated the end of the Spring photography season at Izakaya, a Japanese restaurant near my studio in Central. After we devoured platefuls of sashimi, tempura, grilled prawns and yummy Hokkaido milk congee, we all went to watch Kung Fu Panda. I must say it was one of the best movies I've seen this year! Great humour and superb animation. Thank you Alpha, Vincent, Ching, Tony, Ken, Robert, Grace, and Joy for all your hard work thru the busy Winter and Spring seasons. You guys have been fantastic! We will be closed for a few weeks in early August and reopen August 25th, so have a great break everyone!

Picturesque Jordan!

Just last month my husband and I took an amazing trip to Jordan in the Middle East. Jordan is surrounded by some tough neighbours - Iraq, Israel, Syria and Saudi Arabia, yet it remains a relatively peaceful country. We spent our time exploring Crusader castles, mosques and vast desert landscapes. The highlight must have been our magical candle-lit night walk thru the Siq to reach the Treasury in Petra, one of the new 7 wonders of the world. We wrapped up our journey in the Dead Sea, floating in mineral rich waters and soaking in mud baths. This was definitely one of our favorite trips!

The other day we received a lovely card from our couple Grace & Clement, whose wedding we photographed in January 2008. They were sweet enough to write us a most thoughtful card enclosing some of the images taken by us. Sure we have these images already in our archives, but when our own images are sent back to us, inserted inside a thank you card, the images take on so much more meaning. And this is why we absolutely love what we do; knowing we've made this couple and their friends and families happy through the images we created. Check out the face of the card as well, which was a pose we shot from the 4th floor of the Four Seasons, zooming down on them on the Grand Ballroom level. Obvious inspiration from 'American Beauty'! Thank you Grace & Clement and enjoy your new life together.
